This isn’t just any ordinary competition, it’s a celebration of creativity and a festival of children’s logic, all packaged in a fun and engaging way. This regional event also serves as a golden bridge for Banua’s young innovators as they prepare to step confidently onto the national or even international stage!

Creative Categories Tailored to Your Child’s Interests

We believe every child is unique. That’s why this competition offers a variety of logic and creativity challenges that are child-friendly and tailored to their age groups:

1. Coloring Competition

A wonderful outlet for your little ones to express their colorful creativity:

This competition is divided into two categories that your children can enter based on their age:

• Kindergarten → ages 4–6

• Primary → ages 7–9

The rules for this competition include:

• The total duration of the competition for this category is 100 minutes.

• Participants in each category compete individually.

• Participants MUST bring their own coloring supplies, such as crayons, oil pastels, colored markers, or colored pencils.

• Participants MUST bring their own folding table or board to use as a surface for coloring.

• Participants ARE NOT ALLOWED to use additional materials such as spray paint, glitter, stickers, watercolors, or acrylic paint.

Participants are also not allowed to borrow or lend coloring tools to one another during the competition.

2. Speed Building

An exciting challenge involving assembling toy blocks to sharpen logical thinking skills according to the provided image guidelines. In this category, there are three options that your children can participate in based on their age, namely:

A. Speed Building for Kindergarten (with a Parent)

• The total duration of the competition is 25 minutes.

• Each participant competes individually and is accompanied by only one parent or guardian when the competition begins.

• Accompanying parents or guardians are only permitted to hold the Building Instructions and provide guidance regarding the parts used by the participant.

• Parents/guardians are prohibited from holding, arranging, or assisting with assembly during the competition.

B. Speed Building for Elementary School Grades 1–2

• The total duration of the competition is 20 minutes.

• Each participant in this category competes individually.

• Participants are not allowed to receive any form of assistance from any party during the competition.

• Participants must assemble the object in accordance with the provided Building Instructions.

C. Speed Building for Elementary School Grades 3–4

• The total duration of the competition is 20 minutes.

• This category is open to individual participants only.

• Participants may not receive any form of assistance from any party during the competition.

• Participants must assemble the object in accordance with the provided Building Instructions.

3. Scratch Speed Coding

Guiding children’s interest in games toward becoming game creators through an easy-to-use, child-friendly visual coding app. In this competition, we offer three categories that children can enter based on their age, namely:

A. Primary A (ages 6–8)

Participants will create an animation project on a theme determined by the organizers using Scratch.

• The total competition duration is 10 minutes.

• This category is conducted offline.

• Each participant will receive building instructions provided by the organizers.

• Each participant must bring their own laptop.

• Participants must install the Scratch 3 application on their own laptops.

B. Primary B (ages 9–12)

Participants will create an interactive game based on a theme determined by the organizers using Scratch.

• The total duration of the competition is 10 minutes.

• This category’s competition will be held offline.

• Each participant will receive Building Instructions provided by the organizers.

• Each participant is required to bring their own laptop.

• Participants are required to install the Scratch 3 application on their own laptops.

C. Junior High School (Ages 13–15)

Participants will create an AI game based on a theme determined by the organizers using Scratch.

• The total duration of the competition is 10 minutes.

• This category’s competition will be held offline.

• Each participant will receive building instructions provided by the organizers.

• Each participant is required to bring their own laptop.

• Participants are required to install the Scratch 3 application on their own laptops.

4. Arduino Exhibition

This competition is open to junior high school and high school students or their equivalents. Participants may enter this competition individually or as a team (with a maximum of 3 members per team).

Teachers/advisors are permitted to accompany participants but are not allowed to provide assistance during the assembly or programming of the project. Technical requirements for this project include:

• The primary platform used must be Arduino (UNO, Nano, Mega) or another microcontroller (ESP32, PLC, IC, and similar devices).

• The maximum size of the project must fit within a 60 x 60 cm table.

• The project must be able to operate independently (automatically) and not be entirely controlled via remote control.

• If more than one robot is used, each robot must be able to interact with one another, both mechanically and digitally.
